Suggestions?

Mapping the wikis on WikiApiary is brand new. I like it, but would love to hear suggestions. I think dividing the maps up is needed. I could see limiting the map by the language of the wiki. Or maybe by the country? SMW doesn't want to let me do a map with 5,000+ points anyway (given the query limit of 500). 🐝 thingles (talk) 01:57, 28 May 2013 (UTC)

I just put on clustering as my first suggestion. Yeah, the map should be divided into regions, countries or by language so we get < 500 chunks. I guess it is just a matter of playing a bit with the query. --[[kgh]] (talk) 10:17, 28 May 2013 (UTC)
I tried using a compound query to sneak in more than 500 records, that was a bad idea. I've also temporarily bumped up $smwgQMaxInlineLimit but that also produces very bad results (504 errors) when setting the value high. The best solution to this would be for the Maps format to start using the SMWAsk API similar to the new smw:Help:Datatables format Datatables format. I might look at how difficult that would be, but Javascript is far out of my wheelhouse. :-\ 🐝 thingles (talk) 15:25, 28 May 2013 (UTC)
